They are out now. 

Their white, magical, mythical perfection going from shy, budding young ladies in the morning, to proud, uninhibited madams during the day, strutting their stuff, showing their symmetrical, stunning beauty to the world.

No noisy boys, no croaking toad, no man or beast can scare these ladies into submission. A healthy bit of pond-based girl power. That's what we like. 

Thank you, water lilies, for showing us how it is done. I think I too shall put on a pretty skirt now, and smile at the world.
